Cram is a web app written in React and Node.js that adjusts your reading speed based on your facial gestures.

Cram comes with a speech-to-text service using API to transcribe audio lectures, a text summarizer using Aylien API to shorten web text, and automatic article saving without login using MongoDB Stitch. Cram is useful for cramming long readings, either for class or just morning news, and allows disabled people to control their reading with minimal effort.

Cram was built by a five-member team at HackTX 2018, all of whom met each other on the day of the hackathon! We won overall 1st Place among 60+ other projects and the Best Use of MongoDB Stitch Award!
